The Argyll Classic and Sporting Car Club‘s 2014 Summer Saunter will see the gleaming magnets for petrol heads [count us in] in the Inveraray Castle car park, after they have roared and rumbled their way in to the Castle for lunch on Sunday 3rd August 2014.

They will have started from the boathouse at Auchenstarry near Kilsyth and after lunch at the castle will tackle the exciting non-competitive hill-climb in Glen Shira. There was an off or two last year on this challenging track – no damage done but it proves the test of this climb.

The club’s Summer Saunter will travel approximately 90 miles – mainly on A class country roads with the hill climb an optional experience which many enjoy doing on this private estate road.

All proceeds will be donated to charity and the nominated organisation to receive the funds this time is:

  • the Children’s Hospice Association  Scotland [CHAS] – a registered charity that provides Scotland’s only hospice service for children and young people with life shortening conditions. CHAS offers children’s hospice services, free of charge, for every child, young person and their families who needs and wants them.
